50-word synopsis

LockedIn 168 follows 54-year-old rehabilitation specialist Claude Louis as he completes 28 marathon distances across four disciplines over seven continuous days in Dubai. As pain and sleep deprivation intensify, the film reveals a disciplined man testing nearly four decades of beliefs about capability, adaptation and the human body and mind.

150-word synopsis

At 54, rehabilitation and human-performance specialist Claude Louis undertakes an extraordinary seven-day challenge in Dubai: complete one marathon distance every day across Running / Treadmill, Cycling / Stationary Bike, SkiERG and RowERG while taking no planned sleep. The cameras stay with him around the clock as confidence gives way to pain, microsleeps, slurred speech, hallucinations and the hardest empty-gym hours of the night. Medical checks, blood sampling and the constant need to adapt become part of the challenge itself. Behind the endurance is a more personal story shaped by a difficult childhood, the loss of his mother, his bond with his wife Angela and nearly four decades spent training, coaching and rehabilitating others. LockedIn 168 is not simply about completing 28 marathon distances. It is about capability: what happens when a man applies a lifetime of beliefs about discipline, discomfort, adaptation and mind-body connection to himself at an extreme scale and keeps going.

Full film synopsis

Claude Louis is 54, a rehabilitation specialist, former bodybuilder and a man who has spent nearly four decades inside gyms learning how people respond to injury, fear, discomfort, discipline and change. His life is highly structured, his circle is small, and his philosophy is simple: capability is built from within.

LockedIn 168 begins at home before dawn. Claude wakes at around 2 AM, cares for rescued street cats while Angela prepares what he will need, and reflects on the childhood experiences, loss and relationships that helped shape the person he became.

Then the challenge begins. For seven days Claude must complete a full 42.195 km marathon distance every 24 hours on each of four disciplines: Running / Treadmill, Cycling / Stationary Bike, SkiERG and RowERG. There is no planned sleep.

The early confidence soon meets pain. The night hours become increasingly isolating. Cameras capture Claude’s eyes closing while he continues to move, changes in speech and behaviour, and the growing need to consciously reactivate himself when alertness falls. Hourly vital checks, twice-daily blood sampling, nutrition, hydration and distance tracking become part of the physical and mental workload.

The documentary remains close to Claude throughout: exhausted, frustrated, joking, vulnerable and unusually exposed. Around him are the people who know him best — Angela, doctors, friends and the support team — each experiencing the challenge from a different perspective.

By 120 hours the test has moved far beyond sport. LockedIn 168 becomes a confrontation between Claude’s philosophy and the realities of prolonged physical exertion and sleep deprivation: not a question of forcing forward blindly, but of whether continuous adaptation, self-regulation and commitment can keep carrying him toward the goal.

When the challenge is over, the film leaves the gym. Walking in nature with Angela, Claude returns to the values beneath the numbers: freedom, simplicity and the belief that when the noise is removed, what remains is what matters.

Claude Louis — short biography

Claude Louis is a Dubai-based rehabilitation and human-performance specialist, former bodybuilder and extreme endurance athlete. Across nearly four decades of training, coaching and rehabilitation, his work has evolved around one central idea: the mind, nervous system and body must be developed together. In his 50s, Claude moved into extreme endurance as a way to test those beliefs on himself. His philosophy focuses on capability, controlled discomfort, adaptable consistency, recovery and reducing dependence on external shortcuts.
